At the BISON Lab, we investigate bilingual phenomena, such as how individuals switch between languages in conversations in real-world. Our research bridges psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics and ask questions like: How do sociocultural contexts and other social factors influence language use and processing? More broadly, how do language processing, cognitive mechanisms, and social dynamics interact?

We use different methods, including neuroimaging and behavioral experiments, naturalistic data collection, and computational modeling. For more details, please check out our current projects below.
